Five Stories That Made Waves This Week
Here are the five most-read stories from the week.
It was an interesting week of news in Marblehead. Here are some of the most-read posts here on Marblehead Patch.
- The week's most-read story concerned a puppy who was sucked in to a drain at Riverhead Beach. The puppy's owner is asking the town to place a grate on the drain to prevent future incidents. We also heard from a man who witnessed the incident and also believes the town should take action.
- Residents were also interested to read about the progress at Warwick Place, a new development that will include a 100-seat restaurant and small theater. The facility is set to open later this summer.
- Town residents appeared to appreciate our guide to this year's fireworks and harbor illumination, with it among our most-read stories of the week.
- The movie "Grown Ups 2," which was filmed in Marblehead, opens July 12. The film itself won't be winning any prizes at Cannes, it will be cool to see the town up on the big screen.
- Police logs, which we publish three times a week, are always popular. This week an installment with the lead item "Man Falls 20 Feet From Ladder" was among our most-read stories.
