Her greatest achievement has always been her family. She had one son and three grandchildren that she was very proud of. All of her grandchildren went on to become very successful.  Her grandson Gregory was the youngest person ever to become Vice President at his business, the Ryder Corporation.  Her granddaughter Jill is the inventor and creative mind behind the Nerf Turbo Football. And her other grandson became a doctor, Dr. Ross Greene, PhD, who has appeared on both Dateline and Oprah about the book he wrote called The Explosive Child which he dedicated to his father, Lenora's only son. She was beyond thrilled!

Lenora's son served in the Korean War and used to knit him socks to send oversees to him. Her granddaughter still has a few pairs that were saved, along with some other sweaters she also made, they are now family heirlooms.  Along with being an accomplished knitter, she also loved dancing and swing-dance, musical theater and Broadway shows….Singin' in the Rain was her favorite!

One of her secrets to longevity was to not worry! She just accepted life as it came, she "rolled with the punches." She also believed you should say something nice and give a true compliment to people everyday so they have something to smile about. She encouraged her family and great grandchildren to just be themselves and shine!
