I grew up in Springfield, Mass., and spent 7 years living in Amherst before moving to the North Shore in 2011. 

Prior to serving as The Local Editor for Patch.com's Marblehead and Salem sites, I wrote for The Daily Collegian, The Gardner News and The Daily Hampshire Gazette.

After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a bachelor's degree in journalism, I began my career in Gardner, serving as the City Reporter for The Gardner News.

About a year later, I returned to the Amherst area and began working as a Staff Writer for The Daily Hampshire Gazette, a newspaper based in Northampton.

While at The Daily Hampshire Gazette, I served as a columnist, schools reporter, Easthampton city reporter and covered the cops and courts beat.

In March of 2011, I accepted a Local Editor position with AOL Patch's Marblehead site.

In November 2012, I took over duties as Local Editor of Salem Patch.

I understand the importance of community journalism and have a passion for getting unbiased news out to local readers quickly and accurately.
