Residents Hit The Polls on Election Day

Hundreds of town residents made their way to two voting locations Monday afternoon to cast their votes for candidates running in three contested races.

Town residents flocked to the polls this afternoon to cast their votes for candidates running in on this year's ballot. Contested races include open seats on the town's Board of Selectmen, School Committee and the position of Marblehead Light Commissioner.

Here is a list of who is on the ballot for today's election. Information was provided by Marblehead's Town Clerk, Robin A. Michaud. For a copy of a specimen ballot, click here.

Residents living in precincts 2, 3 and 4 will vote at, located at 40 Atlantic Ave. Residents living in precincts 1, 5, 6, and 7 can cast their votes at the , located at 10 Humphrey St. Polls will be open today from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Marblehead Patch offered residents a look at the candidates with video from , hosted by the League of Women Voters last month. Those running for open seats on the School Committee were introduced to residents individually at a in March. The goals of the two men running for Municipal Light Commissioner were clearly detailed in .
