Child on Bike Struck, Injured on Lafayatte Street

Thursday, May 22

  • At 7:56 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Smith Street.
  • At 8:09 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Harding Lane.
  • At 8:29 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Marion Road.
  • At 12:00 p.m., police responded to a past phone scamming attempt on Powder House Court.
  • At 1:53 p.m., police responded to a reported abuse prevention order violation on Atlantic Avenue.
  • At 2:18 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Lafayette and Maple streets.
  • At 2:20 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Baldwin Road.
  • At 2:21 p.m., police responded to  medical emergency on Flint Street.
  • At 2:39 p.m., police responded to a report of a child on a bike hit by a motor vehicle on Lafayette Street. The child was reportedly crossing from the parking lot of the Devereux House when they were struck. The child was transported to the hospital. No citations were issued and the bike was taken to the police station garage.
  • At 3:00 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Tucker Street.
  • At 3:02 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Broughton Road.
  • At 7:07 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Washington Street.
  • At 8:28 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Lee Street.

Friday, May 23

  • At 12:39 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Prince Street.
  • At 6:32 a.m., police were notified that someone pulled a tree out of the ground on Pleasant Street and took it onto a bus with them.
