Police: Child Hospitalized After Smith Street Crash

The following is an excerpt from Marblehead Police Department's log: 


Tuesday, March 18

  • At 8:17 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious motor vehicle on Heritage Way.
  • At 12:10 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Leo Road.
  • At 1:31 p.m., police learned that a student left Village school and was cutting through the field onto a side-street toward Pleasant Street. A staff member reportedly followed the student to the corner of Highland Terrace. An officer spoke to the student and he agreed to go back to school.
  • At 2:12 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Elmwood Road.
  • At 2:46 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Prospect Street.
  • At 5:03 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Smith and Pleasant streets. One of the occupants was taken to the North Shore Children's hospital.
  • At 6:06 p.m., a resident entered the police station to turn over a found credit card.
  • At 6:41 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Beverly Avenue.

Wednesday, March 19

  • At 12:26 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Washington Street.
  • At 4:18 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Village Street.
