Marblehead Firefighters Extinguish Porch Fire at The Barnacle

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log:
 

Sunday, March 9

  • At 9:53 a.m., an Arnold Terrace resident entered the police station to discuss a personal matter.
  • At 3:26 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Guernsey Street. Gary Lentini, 53, of 113 Moore St., Apt. 2, East Boston, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
  • At 4:31 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Pleasant Street.
  • At 4:53 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Park Lane.
  • At 9:56 p.m., police responded to a report of a hanging tree branch on Middle Streeet.
  • At 9:58 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Village Street. 

Monday, March 10

  • At 1:36 a.m., police and fire units responded to a reported structure fire on an exterior porch at The Barnacle on Front Street that was "small but spreading." Click Here to view pictures from the scene. The fire was knocked down by local firefighters soon after and an email was reportedly sent to Health Director Andrew Petty because the interior was "charged" with smoke.
  • At 6:22 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Front Street.
  • At 7:24 a.m., police and fire units responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Hewitt Street.
  • At 7:27 a.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on High Street.
