Coming Soon: Candy Pop Sweet Shoppe

The Candy Pop Sweet Shop, a new candy store that will be opening later this spring on Washington Street, cleared another hurdle at a Board of Health meeting Wednesday night.

The board recently signed off on a food service permit for the candy store, which will be opening in the storefront formerly occupied by Bliss Home, located at 152 Washington St.

According to the store's recently launched Facebook Page, the owners met with the building commissioner, plumbing inspector, electrical inspector, and health department Monday and got the "thumbs up to begin construction."

The owners were recently awarded a building permit and received a sign permit on Wednesday, according to a post on the business' Facebook Page.
