Junji Fine Japanese Cuisine Opens Tonight in Marblehead

Junji Fine Japanese Cuisine will officially open for business in Marblehead this evening, according to a post on the business' Facebook page.

Junji Fine Japanese Cuisine will be open from 5 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 

The sushi restaurant received selectmen's approval for the transfer of a wine, beer and cordial license last year. Master chef Junji Aoki will be opening the new location at 114 Pleasant St. 

The menu will include Japanese fare, among the specialities — sushi and tempura. 

The wine and beer license was transferred from Joey D's Italian Grille, the former restaurant at the location. The address was the longtime home of Hooked, before Joey D moved in.

Junji Aoki was recently serving sushi at a popular longtime downtown Wakefield restaurant — Sushi Island — before the establishment was sold in August.
