Candy Pop Sweet Shoppe will be closing its doors in Marblehead at the end of the month.

Owner Traci Teague opened the Washington Street candy store in May 2012. The space was formerly occupied by Bliss Home.

According to this post on the Candy Pop Sweet Shoppe Facebook page, Teague plans to relocate to The Berkshires.

"Some of you may have heard, Candy Pop Sweet Shoppe is relocating to the Berkshire's area. We will be closing our store in Marblehead near the end of March. So come now and enjoy the Sweet Savings on all candy, chocolates, fudge, cotton candy, and popcorn. We also have gift boxes and candy jars on sale as well," the post read.

The 152 Washington St. commercial space is now up for lease.

What would you like to see move in? Do you think there's something missing in Marblehead's Historic District?

I would like to see a local artisan/craft mall, though this space might be a little small.

Juice bar, great idea. I really miss the one that was Village Plaza many years ago. I think it was Jumba Juice? It was within a health food store which is another businees that Marblehead is missing. I recently visited one in downtown Plymouth MA that was fantastic.

I will truly miss this shop and its owners. Traci, Chris and Aimee have become friends of ours since they opened the shop. They are friendly, caring and generous. Anytime I needed a gift, a pick-me-up (after my daughter was injured and transported to the hospital in an ambulance), holiday buckets filled, a fundraiser, et al., I could always count on them. This is truly a lose to our town. My family and I will miss them and all their sweets. Good Luck Candy Pop Sweet Shoppe!!!
