Alcohol Arrives at Marblehead's Casa Corona

Casa Corona Mexican Restaurant on Smith Street in Marblehead will officially begin serving alcohol Friday.

After a long and winding road to a full liquor license, Marblehead's Casa Corona Mexican Restaurant will begin serving alcohol Friday evening.

At a meeting at Abbot Hall in May, the Board of Selectmen unanimously approved awarding a full liquor license to the owners of the Smith Street restaurant, which opened last fall.

Unable to secure a local liquor license when they first opened, owners Felix and Jose Bracamontes applied for and eventually received the town's first ever BYOB liquor license.
