Grown Ups 2 Scene at MVMS Today

will be transformed into the home of the "Stanton Puritans" this morning while a scene for the upcoming Adam Sandler movie is filmed.

This scene, expected to depict a parent picking up their kids from school, will be shot while school is in session. Filming has forced school officials to rearrange the school's drop-off and pick-up traffic pattern.

Drop Off/Pick Up: The Vine Street entrance to the school will be closed to all but emergency vehicles. All students being picked up or dropped off MUST be brought to school from the Pleasant Street entrance. The principal has also encouraged parents to consider having their children walk to school to alleviate congestion.

Large signs reading "Stanton Puritans","Red Arrow District" and "Cheerleader Tryouts for Next Year" had been hung on the fencing lining the school's tennis courts early Wednesday morning.

During the shoot, Location Manager Mark Fitzgerald said the majority of the film equipment will be parked in the parking lot and in the parking lot of , where "extras processing" will take place and a catered lunch will be served.

Shooting is planned for a small parking area near the school's tennis courts.

Street Closure Schedule:

• Until 9 p.m. tonight, no parking tow zone signs will be posted on the northwest side of Pleasant Street from Prospect Street to Prince Street.

Fitzgerald is expected to return to tonight to provide the Board of Selectmen with another filming update.
