Orchard Bakery Opening Soon in Marblehead

It looks like Orchard Bakery will soon be serving up pastries and handmade bread on Washington Street in Marblehead.

A Salem woman and Somerville man are opening up the bakery soon at 146 Washington St., according to a sign recently posted in the shop's front window. 

Keri Thorten, who is a baker and business woman, is starting the shop with experienced pastry chef Rob Fitzhenry, who has many years of working in gourmet shops in New York, Boston and Paris.

"Our vision to bring together our knowledge and passion for baking to Marblehead, offering farm to table pastries, pies, and confections," Thorton said. "We will be using produce and other ingredients from local and regional farms, picked at its peak to be made into the most delicious goodies."
