Yannalfo's Seeking Liquor License

The Board of Selectmen will consider granting a liquor license to Yannalfo's Ristorante at their meeting tonight.

The owner of Yannalfo's Ristorante will appear before the Board of Selectmen at their meeting at Abbot Hall tonight to request a liquor license. Earlier this month, Yannalfo's opened in the former home of Pellino's Ristorante, located at 261 Washington St. The owner, Brett Yannalfo, 43, of Andover, said he has always dreamed of opening a restaurant of his own. "I grew up Italian, so hosting people is second nature to me and that being said, I am going to keep it as Italian, but a little more casual and sort of ‘comfort food’ Italian than what (Pellino's) was cooking," Yannalfo said. Marblehead's new Italian restaurant will open on Washington Street Tuesday.

Yannalfo's Ristorante will open in the former home of Pellino's Ristorante, located at 261 Washington St., on Tuesday, the owner said Friday morning. The owner, Brett Yannalfo, 43, of Andover, said he has always dreamed of opening a restaurant of his own. "I grew up Italian, so hosting people is second nature to me and that being said, I am going to keep it as Italian, but a little more casual and sort of ‘comfort food’ Italian than what (Pellino's) was cooking," Yannalfo said. New Restaurant Opening at Pellino's

Pellino's Ristorante, which closed in March, is expected to reopen next month as Yannalfo's.

The space on Washington Street formerly occupied by Pellino's Ristorante is expected to reopen next month as an Italian restaurant named Yannalfo's. The restaurant will be opened by Brett Yannalfo, 43, of Andover, who said he has already met with the Board of Selectmen and is just waiting for the liquor license transfer to be finalized. Although his professional background has been rooted in "the corporate world," Yannalfo said he has family members who have owned restaurants and pubs and has always dreamed of opening a space of his own.
