Lost Child Found: The 6-year-old was reported missing, setting off a major search. The child was found to have entered a neighbor's house where he found some cookies.  3. Town Meetings Defeats Leaf Blower Ban: Proposed restrictions on leaf blowers made news in Marblehead and Swampscott this week. 4. Marblehead Firefighters Receives Award: Longtime Marblehead firefighter Tim Doane has been a force working for the MDA. Video: Surf and Snow on Devereux

Big snowflakes drifted and long waves curled to shore late Sunday at Devereux Beach.

A few ocean watchers lingered late Sunday at Devereux Beach in the cold and wind and snow. Among them a lone wave watcher under the open pavilion's roof. A family and their dog dallied at the waterline, the tide rushing in, pulling back at their feet. Seagulls tilted wings over cresting waves while on the calm side of the causeway lobster boats rocked at moorings. Back on the ocean side surfers bobbed in the surf waiting for a ride on a storm-tossed wave.
