Swampscott executed its game plan exceptionally while stonewalling the Magicians’ aggressive offense.
Marblehead was a clear favorite entering Thursday morning's game against Swampscott, but the underdog came up big at home with a 25-16 victory over the Magicians. Swampscott quarterback Brian Santry launched his team on an eight-play, 3:20 drive that ended with Santry running for the touchdown with 1:50 remaining to clinch victory for the Big Blue. “It’s disappointing,” said Marblehead coach Jim Rudloff. “As a team, we did a really bad job this week. The pick-ups on Thursday and Friday in Marblehead will be influenced by the Thanksgiving holiday.
Hiltz Disposal reports that Thursday and Friday trash pick-up in Marblehead will be a day behind this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. So that means those who regularly have their trash and recycling items collected Thursdays will be serviced on Friday this week. And those who regularly have their trash and recycling items collected Fridays will be serviced on Saturday this week. Here's hoping there's no leftovers and even Aunt Alice's 10-pound fruit cake gets eaten.

The holidays are all about family, traditions and memories. It’s a chance to reconnect with family and friends whether through a card, email, phone call or catching up over dinner. Thanksgiving doesn’t have the cache of Christmas. There are no gifts or commercialism to distract us and because of this Thanksgiving is many people’s favorite holiday. Every family has its own traditions and memories that bring a smile. That favorite memory might be a big football game, but most likely it’s a special moment you shared with a loved one -- possibly someone who has since passed away. First just reheat with other leftovers, have open faced sandwiches, regular sandwiches. etc. Finally, make turkey soup with plenty of celery, carrots, some onions, herbs, spices, and rice. But it's a couple of years since I've done the Thanksgiving dinner, and I still have three servings of turkey soup in the freezer.   more ›
