The Lynx Returning to Marblehead
The Tall Ship Lynx is scheduled to sail back into Marblehead Harbor this summer.
The Privateer Lynx, a historic tall ship that captured the imaginations of hundreds of town residents when she sailed into Marblehead Harbor for the first time last summer, is set to return in August. At a Board of Selectmen's meeting at Abbot Hall Wednesday night, Chamber of Commerce executive director Ann Marie Casey said she was pleased to report that The Lynx, recreated in the image of a ship that was among the first to defend America in the War of 1812, will arrive in Marblehead the morning of Aug. 8 and depart Aug. 13.
