Salem to Receive $275K in Dominion Settlement

Peabody, Lynn also slated to receive funds from environmental violation suit.

A settlement has been reached in a lawsuit against Dominion for Clean Air Act violations, and Salem, Lynn and Peabody will enjoy some benefits, according to a press release. The settlement total is $275,000 for the three communities, according to a release issued by HealthLink. North Shore's HealthLink and the Conservation Law Foundation sued Dominion (the former owner of Salem Harbor Power Station) for going over environmental air pollution limits at the plant over the course of five years, according to the HeathLink release.  The Conservation Law Foundation announced its intention to go forward with a federal suit in 2010.
