MHS Boosters Will Inherit Ice Cream House
Marblehead High School's All Sports Boosters will inherit the materials from the Ice Cream House recently constructed for Grown Ups 2 at Gatchell's Park.
The mystery of whether or not the Grown Ups 2 Ice Cream House at Gatchell Park will be put to good use after filming wraps has been solved - Marblehead High School's All Sports Boosters will be inheriting the materials it is made out of. Boosters co-President Tricia Rockett was happy to report Friday evening that Columbia Pictures has agreed to donate the stand materials to the boosters after shooting at the park wraps tonight. On Tuesday, Recreation and Parks Commission members dismissed the notion of the town wanting to keep the ice cream stand because it only appears to be sturdy and lacks the solid foundation, electricity and running water it would need to serve as a permanent snack booth. Too bad that the plan is not to keep the set as is and add the necessary additions of a real foundation, plumbing, heating etc. I would imagine with all the trades that live here in town the cost would be minimal.
