The dual meet took place in Marblehead Wednesday morning. Here are video highlights from the meet.
The winner in the boys track meet between Swampscott and Marblehead Wednesday came down to the final event. That was the four by 400 relay. The Magicians won the race and meet. The meet was held in Marblehead at the Village School track. The Swampscott girls lost to a strong Marblehead team.

Senior girls from Marblehead and Swampscott will tangle in their annual flag football clash at Piper Field. Admission is $5. Proceeds benefit the home team's charity of choice. This year it is juvenile diabetes research.
Marblehead High School math teacher Larry McWilliams said the the spirit exhibited at last year's flag football game between Marblehead and Swampscott's senior girls exceeded that shown at any other game he had seen on a high school athletic field. "The spirit of this powder puff game is equal to three or four boys' games," he said. The action promises to be equally intense when the lady Magicians hit the gridiron against their Big Blue counterparts under the lights at Piper Field Friday at 7 p.m. The Magicians will be out to redeem last year's loss at Blocksidge in Swampscott. Wilmington peppered the Marblehead defense with scoring chances, but the Magicians hung tight before falling, 1-0, to end their season.
Marblehead only allowed Wilmington to score on one of their long list of golden scoring opportunities. Unfortunately for the Magicians, that one tally was all it took. The host Wildcats cashed in on a rebound midway through the second half on Sunday and went on to earn a 1-0 win in the first round of the North Division 2 postseason, eliminating No. 11 Marblehead from the playoffs. “We were able to do some things, but there were some things we kind of lacked in tonight,” said Magicians head coach Andrew Bub. “But I think the girls have absolutely nothing to put their heads down about.” Goaltender Cassie Rodgers was the star of the game for Marblehead.
