Here is a list of important dates that we think Marblehead residents will want to know before they start their week. --- Dog License Deadline: Dogs should be licensed for 2012 by March 31. Failure to do so will result in a fine. All dogs in town must be licensed at 3 months of age in accordance with state law. The cost of the license is $15. All dog licenses expire on Dec. 31 of each year. The Town by-law allows for a $25 fine to be assessed every 30 days starting Feb. 1. A rabies certificate is required to obtain a dog license.
