Those bastards are trying to kill us with cheese!
South Bay Jane April 21, 2014 at 11:46 am
Who cares about cheese? What about all the other animal body parts, poo-poo, dirt, preservativesRead More and other unknown crap that's inside a hotdog?
Bob McBride April 21, 2014 at 11:55 am
They're on the label, Jane, euphemistically or otherwise. Cheese is not. You may say, "WhatsRead More one more artery clogging byproduct of America's agricultural system when considering the whole?", but the US Dept. of Ag. begs to differ. People have a right to know whether they're consuming a cheesy wiener, nor not.

Unlike the author of this piece, I won't impressed with their output until they implement termRead More limits, reduce their salaries, and limit their work to 6 months of a year. These steps will greatly reduce the "damage" they can do to the education, transportation, and economic areas in our state!

Those that enjoy amplified off key church bells and off key church piano music have a mentalRead More disorder. And, those that force it onto others are the same that enjoy torturing others.
Lisbeth Allen April 21, 2014 at 11:36 am
She should have the license plate. After all, all the stupid believers in imaginary men with longRead More beards have their silly bumper stickers. Unfortunately, all the brainwashed church goers will probably vandalize her car. Thou shall vandalize.
Cheryl Spinelli April 21, 2014 at 11:44 am
There seems to be a lot of unnecessary anger in many of the posts above. One that jumped out wasRead More that one may "deserve" to be vandalized for their license plate. No one deserves to have any type of crime perpetrated on them. It may well be the outcome because of the bigoted world we live in, but if a young woman puts tacky pink shag decor all over her car, showing the world that a young woman is driving this vehicle, she does not deserve to be attacked. It may be safer to not stand out it that way, but no one "deserves"to be punished for their taste or opinion. Bells ringing, not my favorite, but, if we want total peace and quiet, we may need to relocate to accomplish this. This may not seem fair, but it is realistic. The needs of the many... Imho, the real license plate issue is one of tolerance, or lack therof. There seems to be no profanity or targeted crime of hate going on with this license plate request. We respect and rely on our Freedom of Speech and Religious Choice rights, but we can't have it both ways. It can't be a right only when one agrees with what is being communicated. No one would think of denying a plate that read "Christian". I think people need to take a step back and remember that this is not the kind of request that will negatively impact anyone. You will either agree or disagree and that is the right we all have as Americans. You can agree or disagree with all of the amendments, the call a sports official makes or the grade your kid got on a test. You have the right to discuss your views and try to convince others of your opinion, but censorship is not the answer.

I think it was a absolute wonderful "gift" to the couple. There has always been singing inRead More the Catholic Church and this "gifted" priest only added to the couples' day.
Peg Carbone April 21, 2014 at 10:44 am
A wedding is a joyous occasion and meant to be a celebration. The song added to the celebratory moodRead More of their special day! It was a beautiful and memorable gift the priest surprised gave this couple. I do not believe Jesus meant for us to be so solemn although on certain days (I E: Good Friday) solemnity has it's place.

Ok........lots of happy people here. When my children were young we hid eggs in the yard for theirRead More hunt. One dog used to collect them before we went outside and put them on his bed, smelling the candy inside. Kids learned to trade dog treats to get their eggs back. People, remember -- There are FOUR subway lines that go into the Downtown Crossing / Back Bay area.Read More You don't HAVE to take the Green Line. The ORANGE line goes to Back Bay Station, and it's pretty centrally located. Also, consider watching the Marathon from a less-populated area, such as Framingham / Newton / Needham.
