Your Guide: Say Hello to the Autumnal Equinox
Come to Preston Beach at 6:15 a.m. Sunday for the experience.
Here's a fun enriching weekend experience.
The Clifton Improvement Association invites all to the Sun Circle at Beach Bluff Park on Preston Beach to celebrate the autumnal equinox on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at 6:15 a. m. to observe sunrise.
Sunrise is 6:30 a.m.
If it’s raining, the observation will occur the next day at the same time.
Don Orne, gongmaster, will lead the ceremonies. Bruce Greenwald, sculptor and architect, will answer questions about the Sun Circle and astronomer Jim Keating will comment on the solar system and astronomical dynamics.
