Marblehead's Schneider Sent to US Men's Hockey Olympics Training Camp

NHL goalie and Marblehead native Cory Schneider will train for the Olympics in late August and may be among those chosen to compete in 2014.

Marblehead native and New Jersey Devil's goaltender Cory Schneider was one of six professional goalies chosen to train at the US Men's National Team's camp in Arlington, VA, according to the Salem News

Schneider, 27, spent his first six years as an NHL player on the Vancouver Canucks and was traded to New Jersey about a month ago. 

The National Hockey team will likely chose only three goalies to compete in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
