Marblehead Native Signs New $42 Million NHL Contract

A Marblehead native has signed a new contract with the New Jersey Devils.

Cory Schneider will likely be the New Jersey Devil's goaltender until 2022.

The New Jersey Devils goaltender signed a seven-year contract with the Marblehead native last week, according to NHL.com.

Last year, Schneider was traded from the Vancover Canucks to the Devils.

""I think it was made very clear, you don't make this kind of deal or do this kind of extension if they didn't believe I was the guy or that I didn't believe I was going to be the guy," Schneider told NHL.com
