Gallant Tournament Championship Tonight

Marblehead's U12 baseball team will play in the Gallant Baseball Tournament's championship game tonight.

Three days, three games and three wins for Marblehead's 12 Year Old All Stars has our local team one win away from a Gallant Invitational Baseball Tournament championship.

The boys will play tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Forest River Park in Salem. Forest River Park is located on West Avenue.

Marblehead, powered by an eight-run fourth inning, defeat Lynn 13-8 Sunday night to solidify a finals appearance. They also crushed Salem in their first game on Friday and beat defending champion Swampscott on Saturday.

Ray Gallant's mother Eileen will be on hand Thursday and will give out the championship trophies to the winners.

“It's just great to come here every year, Ray loved baseball,” Gallant said. “I really look forward to this, it’s such a nice way to remember Ray and we’re treated to some good baseball by these kids.”
