Self Defense Classes to Benefit HAWC
It is never expected - what would happen if you were attacked, badly beaten and ended up in the hospital. Imagine how your life would change; how would you care for and support your family?
It is not difficult to learn effective self defense techniques to protect yourself, unfortunately, most people don’t take action or even think about it until it’s too late. Martial Arts self defense training can help you to fight off an attacker or better yet, give you the awareness to avoid the situation altogether.
The United Martial Arts Center is offering Self Defense courses to learn How to Take Control, Be Aware, and Protect Yourself . These beginner classes will teach risk avoidance though greater awareness, how to disengage an attacker and the mindset to take action to defend yourself. It is open to men and women; no prior experience or level of physical fitness is required. The classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays - 7:00 to 8:00 pm through May. A $10 donation to HAWC is requested to participate.
