Liquor License Transfer on Selectmen's Agenda

The board meets Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Abbot Hall, 188 Washington St.

Selectmen will hold a public hearing Wednesday on the transfer of a liquor license.

The license, to serve alcohol at The Hurricane Restaurant and Bar on Washington Street, is to be transferred to the new owner, according to town officials.

Selectmen will also get an update on Fair Housing Committee doings.

Committee Chairwoman Virginia Healy-Kenney will present.

Healy-Kenney, former MassHousing senior production manager for homeownership, recently got the Norma Moseley Housing Advocate of the Year Award.

The award was for excellence and advocacy in the areas of consumer counseling and fair housing over a distinguished career that spanned more than four decades, according to MassHousing.
