Water Test Closes Stramski's Beach

A recent water test prompted Marblehead's Board of Health to close Stramski's Beach.

On Thursday, the town's Board of Health announced the closure of , located off West Shore Drive. The closure is the result of a recent water test that indicated the beach has failed to meet the minimum standards for bathing.

The beach will remain closed until further notice and board members also announced that the beach will be tested again on Wednesday June 22. The information was posted on the town's website and is expected to be discussed at the board's next meeting.

Stramski's Beach is located down a long wooded path, located about 100-yards from . The beach is on Salem Harbor.

All other Marblehead Beaches have been tested and are open as of this date, according to the board.
