Senator Tisei will be introduced at the event by Swampscott resident Charlie Baker who ran alongside Senator Tisei at the top of the ticket for governor in the last gubernatorial election.

The event is open to all residents and there is no cost for attendance. The race for Congress in the 6th Congressional District is expected to be the most competitive House race in the state.

According to Federal Election Commission reports, Tisei raised almost twice as much money as incumbent Congressman John Tierney in the final quarter of 2011 despite the fact that Tisei had only been running for the seat for seven weeks prior to the filing deadline.

In addition, Tisei's Republican primary opponent has since dropped out of the race, a factor that will make Tisei even more competitive against Tierney.

Senator Tisei is a proven leader with great ideas for how he would like to get our economy back on track. We encourage all residents to attend the event to meet Senator Tisei and hear more about his campaign.
