Woman Reports Teen Lingering in Park Bushes

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Sept. 16

  • 9:20 a.m., a minor accident was reported on Jersey Street where a parked car was struck.
  • 9:29 a.m., a well-being check was requested for a child who did not show up for school at the Coffin/Gerry School. The mother and daughter were not home.
  • 1:16 p.m., a caller reported that eye glasses and sunglasses were taken from his motor vehicle while it was parked at Village Plaza on Saturday.
  • 1:55 p.m., a Garfield Street caller reported a possible stalking issue. A frequent customer is making her uncomfortbale at her workplace by staring at her. She would like to talk to an officer to determine what her options might be.
  • 4:04 p.m., a walk-in came to the station to report his vehicle had hit a wall a Village Plaza.
  • 4:46 p.m., suspicious activity was reported at the library.
  • 5:10 p.m., a caller reported a boy in the bushes at the park in the vicinity of Fader Place. "Caller stated that she was at the park with her small kid and the child's friend when she saw a teen (about 14 yrs old) on the phone, not talking, go into the bushes. She said that as she was leaving an hour later the teen came back out of the bushes with the phone up like he was on it. She said that it seems like he was not talking and didn't know if the teen was just listening to something. She found it odd because she had never seen or heard of a teen going into the bushes for an hour. She said this occured about 30 minutes ago and the only description she had was a 14 yr old white male, wearing jeans and possibly blue jeans last seen heading in the direction of the community store."
  • 6:40 p.m., a caller reported that skateboarders were in the middle of the road on West Shore Drive and Pitman Road.
Tuesday, Sept. 17
  • 7:18 a.m., a caller reported that his car was broken into on Rockaway Avenue. The passenger window was smashed.
