Warning: Marblehead Police Issue Scam Alert
The Marblehead Police Department is warning local residents about a scam.
The following information was posted to the Marblehead Police Department's Facebook page Monday morning:
The Marblehead Police have received reports from residents that a person representing themselves as a Marblehead Police Officer has been soliciting money over the phone. The caller has told people to leave a check at the door and they would be around to pick it up.
The Marblehead Police Department IS NOT SOLICITING FUNDS! Please do NOT give your hard earned money to anyone.
