Vandalism Reported on Atlantic Avenue

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log:

Thursday, Oct. 11:

  • At 7:45 a.m., a motorist on Atlantic Avenue was given a warning for committing a crosswalk violation.
  • At 7:49 a.m., police responded to an accidental 911 call from a home on West Shore Drive.
  • At 8:45 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Washington Street.
  • At 9:04 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Ocean Avenue.
  • At 9:07 a.m., police pulled over a 1998 Honda Passport on Pleasant Street. Donald Wyman, 28, of 46 Cedar St., Marblehead, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
  • At 9:20 a.m., a Washington Street business owner called police to report that her landlord had locked her out of the store and she couldn't get to her personal belongings.
  • At 9:46 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Pleasant Street.
  • At 11:28 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Washington Street.
  • At 12:09 p.m., a motorist was given a verbal warning for committing a crosswalk violation at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Gerry Street.
  • At 12:11 p.m., a resident entered the police station to report finding a Mastercard credit card on Pleasant Street. 
  • At 12:41 p.m., police assisted the Salem Police Department with investigating a motor vehicle accident in Salem.
  • At 1:49 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious man near the intersection of Maple and Lafayette streets. The caller said they saw a man on a bike riding with over-sized yellow bags and weaving down the roadway.
  • At 1:52 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Hoods Lane.
  • At 2:21 p.m., a Rowland Street resident entered the police station to report a larceny.
  • At 2:55 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Waldron Court.
  • At 3:45 p.m., police responded to a reported hit-and-run accident on Smith Street.
  • At 4:03 p.m., the owner of Jambu called police to report that her flower boxes in front of her store continually get damaged and her flowers have been getting pulled out of the boxes.
  • At 4:03 p.m., a motorist was given a verbal warning for committing a crosswalk violation at the intersection of Pleasant and Maverick streets.
  • At 5:41 p.m., police conducted a residency check on Heritage Way.
  • At 5:58 p.m., a woman driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla called police to report that she struck a crossing sign on Tedesco Street while trying to avoid hitting a dog.
  • At 7:57 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Washington Street.
  • At 8:49 p.m., police responded to a report of an out-of-control 14-yer-old on Sheldon Road.
