Teenager Struck by Vehicle and Transported to Hospital

A pick-up truck with a company logo on it remained within the area cordoned off by caution tape.


A 16-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle in the area of Spring, Sewall and Elm Street some time after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Marblehead fire Capt. Michael Porter said the girl was placed on a backboard and transported for treatment by Atlantic Ambulance.

Marblehead fire Capt. Dan Rice was incident commander for the Marblehead Fire Department.

A fire truck remained at the scene providing light to assist police in their duties, the fire captain said.

Police on the scene said the injured girl was conscious after she was struck, and that she was transported to the hospital.

Police cordoned off a section of Sewall Street by the Spring Street intersection.
A commercial pick-up truck remained within the cordoned area.

Marblehead detectives worked the scene, their investigation including taking photographs and talking with individuals.
