Teen in Foul Mood Refuses to Buckle Up

Sunday, Jan. 19

1:23 p.m., a caller requested help collecting her belongings from a Pickett Street residence after a break-up with her boyfriend.

5:05 p.m., a Washington Street caller reported kids were shining a laser in his window. The kids were gone upon police's arrival.

6:33 p.m., a Chestnut Street caller reported that kids were shining lasers into his window. The caller said it has happened in the past. The caller said the lasers were coming from the back of a Central Street residence. Police spoke to kids at the Central Street house.

8:55 p.m., a woman reported seeing a man who appeared to be drunk walking Pleasant Street. He was taken into protective custody.

Monday, Jan. 20

5:45 a.m., police assisted with the identification of suspects seen looking into cars on Highland Avenue in Salem.

8:47 a.m., a Creesy Street caller reported that his parents' car was stolen. He last saw the car at 10 pm the night before. Police subsequently called Boston and learned the vehicle was towed after a crash in East Boston. Boston had sent out queries about the car during the overnight hours.

10:12 a.m., a Bessom Street caller reported finding a stun gun.

6:07 p.m., clothing left outside for cleaning was reported stolen on Leo Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 21

8:28 a.m, a caller from Wheeler Place said his teenage son refused to put on his seat belt, and that the boy was in a bad mood. The father was driving the boy to school in Danvers. The father wanted an officer to talk to the son and tell him to wear his seat belt. Dispatch contacted the officer in charge.

9:18 a.m., a Maple Circle caller reported her unlocked car was entered overnight. Two dollars and change was reportedly taken.

9:28 a.m., a Pleasant Street caller reported receiving a disturbing call from an unknown male who was watching her. The woman wanted police to listen to the tape of the call on her machine.

9:49 a.m., police received a report from Cliffside Road stating that a car was entered overnight and rifled through. The caller said her husband was out walking the dog earlier that morning and he found a wallet filled with gift cards in the street but no identification in it. An officer took possession of the wallet.

9:57 a.m., vandalism was reported at a Bessom Street shop. The glass door was cracked.

12:29 p.m., a Countryside Lane caller reported that three tires on his motor vehicle were slashed on Friday.

1:15 p.m., an Orne Street resident reported her mailbox was missing.

6:28 p.m., the library director called police and asked if they would give a 15-year-old patron a ride home. The library was closing due to the weather, and the girl could not reach her parents. Police gave the girl a ride to Atlantic Avenue.

8:27 p.m., a driver lost control of a car in the snow and it struck a fence on Overlook Road.

Wednesday, Jan. 22

4:45 p.m., police arrested Bryan McDonald, 25, of 6 Cowell St., #2, Marblehead on a non-Marblehead warrant.
