Teacher Charged With Possessing Child Pornography Receives No Trespass Letter

The letter was sent to Marblehead police from the superintendent of schools.


Here is an entry from the Marblehead police log on Friday. It is a copy of notification sent to a Mabrlehead High teacher placed on administrative leave. William Morgan was charged last week with possessing and transferring child pornography.

Dear Mr.Morgan: We have just been advised by the Rhode Island State Police that you have been arrested and charged with the possession and transmission of child pornography. Based on this, pending our further investigation and until further notice, you are being placed on paid administrative leave from your employment as a teacher immediately.
Until further notice you may not report to work. In addition, pending our further investigation and until further notice, you are barred from entering upon any and all grounds, property, buildings and facilities of Marblehead Public Schools, and from attending any and all Marblehead Public Schools-sponsored activities and events. This notice is based on G.L.c266 s120 and notification is being given to the Marblehead Police Department. Violation of this notice will be treated as a criminal offense. 
Finally, pending our investigation and until further notice, you are barred from any and all contact of any kind with any students enrolled in the Marblehead Public Schools, whether such contact is in person, by telephone, by written correspondence, or by any form of electronic transmission. Should you violate this proscription Marblehead Public Schools will take all appropriate enforcement measures.
