A Swampscott resident and Lynn teacher accused of assault with intent to commit murder was ordered held without bail on Wednesday in Lynn District Court pending the results of a dangerousness hearing.
The alleged incident took place Tuesday night about 7:30 on Magnolia Road in Swampscott, when she allegedly drove on the sidewalk and struck a woman with her vehicle. The victim was the girlfriend of English's ex-husband.
Kimberly English, 49, of 40 Hillside Ave., was also charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, leaving the scene of personal injury, operating left of center, operating to endanger, a 209A violation, and speeding, police said.
She appeared before Judge James Wexler at noon, Wednesday, and is due back in court for a dangerousness hearing.
The teacher was told she qualified for a court appointed lawyer, if she made a partial payment of $400.
