Swampscott Hit With Third Armed Robbery in a Week

This one was a Rolex robbery set up on Craigslist.

It started as a Craigslist deal to sell a Rolex watch — but the "buyer" turned out to be an armed robber.

In the third armed robbery the town has seen in the past week, a man described as being in his twenties, white, with blond hair, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds took the expensive watch off the victim at Four Seasons Motor Group on Humphrey Street, sad Swampscott police Det. Tim Cassidy.
The man fled on foot towards Cedar Hill Terrace, police said.

The call came in to Swampscott Police about 12:30 p.m. Friday.

This is the third armed robbery in Swampscott in less than a week.

On Saturday a man robbed Olympia Sports at the Swampscott Mall, 450 Paradise Road. And on Wednesday a man robbed The Gap, also at the Swampscott Mall.
