Son 'Out of Control and Needs to Go'; 'Sketchy' Car Accident

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log. 

Monday, April 14 

  • At 8:14 a.m., an officer was called to assist in convincing a child to go to school 
  • At 9:31 a.m., a person who found a credit card called the office to inform police he was going to call the owner of the card 
  • At 9:52 a.m., officers responded to a report from Marblehead Collision that a car came in that was extremely damaged. The tow operator said the man with the car was "sketchy" and that the driver said he struck a curb. The damage was not consistent with striking a curb. 
  • At 2:28 p.m., police responded to a man who called saying his 20-year-old son was out of control and "needs to go." Cheever Street 
  • At 4:43 p.m., a caller reported that a tree branch was falling off of a tree and thought it would hit wires 
  • At 6:27 p.m., a caller reported to police that a "troubled person" is looking to stay with her, and she is reluctant because she believes he will steal from her. The woman was looking for a shelter
