Road Closure Announcement

Due to a construction project on Elm Street, Spring Street and Sewall Street, Watson Street has been made one way going from Elm Street to Pleasant Street. The street currently can’t safely handle two-way traffic because of increased travel.

Construction crews and the police department have placed signs and cones to ensure that nobody drives up Watson St from Pleasant, but unfortunately many people have been ignoring this and driving around the blockade.

Because there isn’t enough room on the road for two-way traffic, there have been several near misses and citations will be issued to people who drive up the wrong way.

The construction will continue for another couple of weeks.
