Recurring Vandalism Reported on Village Street

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Sept. 15

  • 00:25 a.m., a well-being check was requested for a neighbor on Ralph Road. The caller said the same loud music had been playing for a long time. An officer spoke with the person. All was OK.
  • 2:05 a.m., a Naugus Avenue caller reported possible gunshots from the beach. A check of the area proved negative.
  • 6:21 a.m., an Adams Road caller reported someone was banging on his front door. A search of the area proved negative.
  • 10:28 a.m., a walk-in to the police station reported recurring vandalism on Village Street. "She stated that she has had to replace several tires due to damage and also has had to replace a bicycle," the police log entry stated. "She stated that someone had broke the seat to the bike and took a hammer to her car tire at one point. She stated the most recent incident she found glitter thrown all around her porch as well as plants and her entry way. She believes she knows who is responsible for the incidents." Police suggested that the resident get a camera.
  • 1:55 p.m., a walk-in to the police station reported that a West Shore Drive neighbor has been trying to get money from the walk-in's father for cutting down trees that were on the father's property.
  • 6:59 p.m., police received a report that three black SUVs were parked on the sidewalk on Gregory Street. The vehicles' owners said they would move them to the street.
  • 8:49 p.m., a caller reported a hit and run.
Monday, Sept. 16
  • 00:31 a.m., a loud party was reported on Pleasant Street. Peace was restored.
  • 6:21 a.m., a caller reported that poison fumes were coming from a Jersey Street address. The caller asked that there be no response but that a log entry be made and that the residence be investigated.
  • 7:29 a.m., a caller reported that a car drove in circles around her twice at a bus stop. Two police units were sent to the area.
