Police Investigate Reported Underage Drinking Party

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Aug. 15

  • At 7:57 a.m., police received a report from a husband who said his wife lost her small cloth flowered purse in the area of Stramski Park. That contents included a cell phone.
  • At 8:09 a.m., police received a report of a bike found on Humphrey Street near the softball dugout at the lower field. DPW was notified and was to pick it up.
  • At 1:52 p.m., police received a report of missing jewelry at a home.
  • At 7:31 p.m., police received a call from a mother who said her son was shot with a bb gun in the hand after an altercation with another youth. Police and fire units responded to Brook Road.
  • At 10:17 p.m., police responded to Saphire Avenue after receiving an anonymous report of an underaged drinking party. A number of people left the home after the police call went out on the radio. No one answered the door. Police called the residence and, after talking to an occupant, went inside and collected names. A report was to follow.
