Marblehead Police Probing Rash of Vehicle Break-ins

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log: 

Monday, Feb. 24:
 

  • At 7:52 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Gregory Street.
  • At 8:05 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Chestnut Street and Atlantic Avenue.
  • At 8:38 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break break-in on Waldron Court.
  • At 9:15 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Tucker Street.
  • At 9:33 a.m., police responded to a report of a past attempted break-in on Green Street.
  • At 10:34 a.m., a resident entered the police station to report difficulty contacting a customer.
  • At 10:48 a.m., a Dennett Road woman called police to report hearing a person rummaging around in her basement and then noticed that the door leading to the basement was open. Police checked the house but didn't find anything.
  • At 11:39 a.m., police responded to a possible water break on Barnard Street.
  • At 1:49 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Baldwin Road. Jordan E. Ring, 40, of 11 Baldwin Road, Marblehead, was arrested on a charge of unlawful wire tapping.
  • At 2:49 p.m., police responded to a vehicle break-in on Waldron Court.
  • At 3:00 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Tucker Street.
  • At 4:33 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Hoods Lane.
  • At 6:40 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Washington Street.
  • At 7:31 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Gregory Street.
  • At 11:56 p.m., a Washington Street woman called police to report receiving "weird Facebook messages."

Tuesday, Feb. 25

  • At 12:34 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Village Street.
