Marblehead Police Nab Alleged Burglar on West Shore Drive

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log: 

Tuesday, March 4:

  • At 8:32 a.m., police responded to a 911-hang-up on Saturn Road.
  • At 9:10 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Jane Road.
  • At 9:21 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Ocean Avenue.
  • At 11:14 a.m., police responded to a bomb threat at Marblehead High School.
  • At 12:20 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Wallace Road.
  • At 12:36 p.m., a woman called police to report a possible past break-in on Arthur Avenue.
  • At 1:10 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Trager Road.
  • At 1:33 p.m., a local resident called police to report seeing a man walk into a house on Evans Road and the come out carrying a television. Police later stopped the suspect's vehicle at the intersection of West Shore Drive and Clark Lane.  Zachary A. Ehlert, 26, of 12 Reed St., Marblehead, was arrested on charges of possessing a class A substance and receiving stolen property valued above $250. 
  • At 4:08 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Prospect Street.
  • At 5:04 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Pond Street.
  • At 11:00 p.m., police responded to a report of an erratic operator on Front Street.

Wednesday, March 5

  • At 12:28 a.m., police responded to a complaint on State Street.
  • At 108 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Village Street.
  • At 3:04 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Stonybrook Road.
