Police: Marion Road Burglar Caught on Video

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log:
Friday, March 28:
- At 8:36 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Clifton Avenue.
- At 10:29 a.m., police and fire units responded to a report of smoke caused by a heater explosion at a home on Upland Road.
- At 12:45 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Lafayette Street.
- At 1:03 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Widger Road.
- At 1:42 p.m., a resident entered the police station to turn over a wallet found at a Pleasant Street laundromat.
- At 6:38 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Atlantic Avenue.
- At 10:29 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle at the intersection of Humphrey and Doane streets. Perikles T. Karakostas, 24, of 100 Needham Road, Hyde Park, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle in violation of a license restriction.
Saturday, March 29:
- At 3:23 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Village Street.
- At 8:12 a.m., police responded to an alarm on School Street.
- At 9:49 a.m., police responded to an alarm on West Shore Drive.
- At 10:18 a.m., a local resident was assisted with retrieving some belongings from a home on Buchanan Road.
- At 12:07 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Foster Street.
- At 1:55 p.m., police responded to a rash of vehicle break-ins on Marion Road. A local homeowner reportedly captured a suspect on video.
- At 5:34 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Cliff Street.
- At 9:04 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Washington Street.
- At 9:29 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Market Square.
- At 1:07 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Village Street.
