Marblehead Man Accused of Knocking Artificial Leg Off Victim
The 24-year-old is charged with a felony and a misdemeanor for the alleged attack.
A Marblehead man was arraigned this week for allegedly assaulting a man in a Barnard Hawkes Court apartment on Jan 19.
Devon Dunham, 24, 17 Barnard Hawkes Court is due back in Lynn District Court for a pretrial hearing on March 5 after his arraignment on Tuesday.
Police were dispatched to the Barnard Hawkes Court apartment shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, for a report of a fight, according to the Marblehead police report.

When they got there they discovered a person who was emotional and having a hard time standing, the report states, as well as Dunham, who was pacing and appeared agitated.
The older man, a 48-year-old, told police that Dunham had kicked out his artificial leg and punched him in the face.

The man said he had not liked the way Dunham treated and was talking to a woman at the apartment and he said so.
Meanwhile, Dunham told police that the 48-year-old had come at him and grabbed him so he punched him.
A third person in the room said there had been a verbal argument and nothing else had happened.
All the individuals are related.
Dunham was charged with domestic assault and battery, a misdemeanor, and assault and battery causing injury to a disabled person, a felony.
He was released on personal recognizance bail at his arraignment with the condition that he undergo a mental health evaluation, remain alcohol and drug free and agree to random screening.
