Marblehead Fall Victim Medflighted From Village School

The photos below were posted by the Marblehead Police Department Monday evening.

A Marblehead resident was taken to the hospital by helicopter Monday evening after sustaining an injury in a fall, according to police.

"A short while ago, a Boston Medflight helicopter landed on the playground at the Marblehead Village School to transport an injured person into one of the Boston hospitals," a message posted to the Marblehead Police Department's Facebook page read.

The helicopter landed at Village School shortly after 6 p.m., according to scanner reports.

Marblehead police and fire personnel assisted with securing the landing zone and with the patient transfer.
