Man Falls Off Cliff in Marblehead Harbor and Sustains Injuries

Marblehead fire and police responded to a report of a man that was injured after falling off a cliff in Marblehead harbor Thursday night. 

According to a police report, the man fell from a cliff and into the water in a location in Marblehead Harbor and was then transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. 

The circumstances of the fall were not immediately available. 

Multiple firefighters entered the water to retrieve the man and sent for an Advanced Life Support crews with the ambulance.

Prior to being transported by ambulance to an area hospital, the victim was lifted from the water with a stoke basket, which is a plastic stretcher with curved sides like a basket.

Both chief of police and fire were notified about the event in addition to the Harbormaster.
