Man Charged With Domestic Assault

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.


Friday, Sept. 20

  • 8:22 a.m., an Atlantic Ave. caller reported that "workers at 40 Locust are using a loud piece of equipment that is shaking her house and 'upsetting her family, fish and dog.' She reports it is 'so loud and  shaking the house.' Air hammer could be heard in the background. She will check with the building dept to see if they have any say."
  • 10:52 a.m., a person who left garbage in Fountain Park later fled from police and, appearing to be disoriented, was found to need medical attention and was voluntarily transported to the hospital.
  • 12:32 p.m., a pair of men's white New Balance sneakers were found in a church parking lot on Atlantic Avenue.
  • 2:08 p.m., police responded to a report of a man causing a disturbance on Broughton Road. The caller reported that the man, her boyfriend, was kicking the car and trying to get her to take him some place. Earlier, he reportedly took the car with her child in it. The caller locked herself in the car and was waitng for police to arrive. Police charged Christopher Cooper, 23, of 24 Flint Lane, Lynn, with vandalizing property and domestic violence assault.
  • 2:54 p.m., an assistant principal at the high school reported bullying at the high school. The school will mediate differences between students. 
  • 6:54 p.m., a woman reported an incident of hair pulling at the VFW last Sunday.
