Local Teens Arrested on Drug Charges

Friday, Sept. 7:

  • At 7:51 a.m., a woman near the intersection of West Shore Drive and Lafayette Street called police to report that some bushes behind her house were set on fire by a passing motorist who flicked a cigarette.
  • At 8:08 a.m., police and fire units responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Humphrey Street and Marion Road involving a 2011 Toyota Highlander and a 2007 Toyota Camry.
  • At 8:42 a.m., police responded to a report of a man sleeping in a 1999 Pontiac SE Grand Prix near the intersection of Humphrey Street and Auburndale Road.
  • At 9:19 a.m., police and fire units responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Prospect Street involving a 2011 Audi SE TT and a 2011 Honda CRV.
  • At 10:01 a.m., police responded to an accidental 911 call from a home on Orchard Street.
  • At 10:55 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on State Street.
  • At 11:19 a.m., police served a warrant on Barnard Hawkes Court and arrested a local woman.
  • At 12:09 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint near the intersection of Driftwood Road and Pinecliff Drive.
  • At 12:30 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Pleasant Street.
  • At 1:06 p.m., a woman on Front Street called police to complain about an idling truck.
  • At 2:44 p.m., an HBO Films Location Scout entered the to let officers know her company will be leaving flyers at local homes.
  • At 3:05 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Watson Street.
  • At 3:32 p.m., a resident reportedly turned over an iPhone discovered on Ocean Avenue.
  • At 3:56 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Pleasant Street.
  • At 4:57 p.m., police assisted with a lift on Naugus Avenue.
  • At 6:08 p.m., police received word that a bench had been knocked over on Lighthouse Lane.
  • At 8:44 p.m., a man called police to report that a suspicious woman was walking up Green Street "flailing her arms and having a conversation with herself."
  • At 9:29 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Village Street. Police arrested: Stefan Hays-Nowak, 18, of 174 Pleasant St., Marblehead, on charges of possessing a Class D substance (marijuana) with intent to distribute, public consumption of marijuana, being a minor in possession of alcohol, possessing a Class E substance and possessing a Class E substance with intent to distribute; Nicholas W. Dovidio, 19, of 2 Yorkshire Road, Marblehead, on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol; and Shawn Caswell, 20, of 174 Pleasant St., Marblehead, on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol, possessing less than an ounce of marijuana and public consumption of marijuana.
  • At 11:58 p.m., police responded to a report of a loud party near Market Square.

  • At 1:20 a.m., police responded to a report of a loud group on Prospect Street. The group reportedly agreed to bring it inside for the night.
  • At 3:10 a.m., police assisted with a lift on Pinecliff Drive.
  • At 8:07 a.m., a woman called police to report that her husband lost her son's epi-pen.
  • At 8:33 a.m., a man entered the police station to report losing a wallet.
  • At 8:50 a.m., a found debit card was turned over to police.
  • At 9:37 a.m., a Beacon Street resident called police to report that their door had become swollen shut and they couldn't get inside.
  • At 11:40 a.m., a resident called police to report that someone had vandalized the bathroom at .
